Camera Repairs

No matter how excellent the camera, there may come a time when you press the shutter, and instead of a satisfying “click” you hear a heart wrenching “clunk”. When that happens, your first call should be to us. Sometimes the fix is as easy as utilizing the experience of one of our stellar salespeople, and sometimes, your gear might need more attention. If we do have to send in your equipment to be fixed off-site, here are a few things to know.

  • If your equipment is under manufacturer’s warranty, bring your receipt or other proof of purchase. It’s always the first step. If your purchase was made at Arlington Camera (and of course it was, right?) and you no longer have your original receipt, we can provide one for you.
  • Whether your equipment is under warranty or not, shipping cameras safely costs money. In repair cases, all customers are charged a fee to cover shipping, handling and insurance of your unit to and from the repair facility. This fee is currently $30 plus tax. There is, of course, NO CHARGE for the estimate itself.
  • You will be contacted with a repair estimate as soon as we receive it. Usually, this takes about two weeks. If you approve; we will then contact the technician to begin the repair. Total time for the repair to be completed is approximately 3-4 weeks.
  • Once we receive the equipment back and the repair is completed, then’s the time to come by to pick it up. The complete cost of the repair will be due at that time.
